Alice in wonderland-kokeshi

Me and my friend Claire made this movie with stop motion. It is sort of like an idea of Alice in wonderland with kokeshi dolls. It starts out with the main kokeshi working in a sushi market and when she lays down she sees and odd bottle and takes a sip........

lecture #4 determining a mushroom

After working with all of the mushrooms I began to draw a few of them here is one that I drew last night.

After the rain our backyard is always covered in mushrooms! I always spend time looking at them and drawing them, Yesterday I was looking at them and I wanted to do something different with the mushrooms, so I picked as many different kind and shapes of mushroom that I could find, and set them on a sheet of white paper, and the next morning I checked to see if there were spore prints, and sure enough some of them worked! Here are some photos.

last night I drew this picture of the girl in the raccoon costume and I began to draw the string hanging from her fingers, and I wanted something other than a lantern hanging from it, so I thought first maybe a paper crane then I thought maybe a puppet for some reason that reminded me of a clown so I drew that just to try it, I liked how it came out so I drew some other images with the clown in it.

my brother and I sculpted these figures out of clay and made this movie with them! I hope that you enjoy it!

mushroom terrarium

at the antique fair I got a small packet of old German plaster mushrooms, when I got home I was so excited about them that I did not even wait until I could get the right things that I needed to make it, so I used some things that I had. It was very tricky to stand up the little kokashi so I decided that she must be tired and so now she is having a peaceful nap under the mushrooms.
